Stephen Colbert on President Hinckley

Date January 30, 2008

I can’t decide whether this is funny, sad, mean, or none of the above. On Monday night Stephen Colbert had a bit on his show where he said that either President Monson or his (Stephen’s) own writers killed President Hinckley.

Well, needless to say, Colbert’s second theory is much funnier than the first. Claiming that Pres. Monson killed Pres. Hinckley lacked taste, imo.

I agree that the President Monson joke just wasn’t funny. I think the writers joke would have been funny used with a different story.
