“No fun” rule for Church

Since this past Sunday was Easter, I didn’t have any morning administration meetings. I still went a little early, and I took my two sons with me. I also didn’t have any meetings afterwards, and I drove them home. On the way home, my 4-year-old son said that he didn’t like Mommy’s “no fun” rule for Church.

Son: I can’t believe Mommy has a rule that says no fun at Church!

Me: No fun at church? You can still have fun at Church. You get to see all your friends and say, “Hi” to them.

Son: Daddy, it’s no fun saying, “Hi” to people.

True enough! :-)

And just to clarify, the rule is about running around and having fun in a boisterous way…
