Gospel Art sub-domain at LDS.org

To go along with my post from Friday about the new Gospel Art Book, apparently the Church has had a sub-domain for a while where you can browse the available image libraries. GospelArt.LDS.org redirects you to a part of the Gospel Library. You can view photographs of scriptural sites, Church History sites, and temples, as

A few more Church web sites

I was reviewing some Mormonopia site statistics the other day, and noticed that at least one visitor had come from Church headquarters in Salt Lake City. I looked up the IP information and found that the church has been allocated hundreds of IPs. I did a quick scan of those IPs to see if they

Official Church YouTube channels

Recently, the LDS Media Talk web site mentioned that the Church currently has 3 official YouTube channels. I only knew about two of them. Mormon Messages An official channel from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints featuring videos from the New Era, a magazine for Mormon teens. LDS Public Affairs Videos from The

New CDOL (Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders) web site

I already had a link on the Official web sites of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints page for the Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders web site. At one point, the Church published a thick book containing the contact information for every unit and leader in the Church. I’m not sure how

Church “Disabilities Resources” web site (sub-domain)

I first heard about this on the LDS Tech web site in a posting called Disability Resources Web Site… Apparently the Church has a sub-domain of the main LDS.org site that focuses on disabilities. It has information about a variety of disabilities, and focuses on how to help people with disabilities and their families. It

LDS Family Services web resources

As I’m sure many of you know, the Church has significant resource available to help people who need emotional counseling, adoption support, and addiction support (among other things). This is generally done through LDS Family Services. I’ve recently come across a few web sites pertaining to LDS Family Services: http://LDSFS.org/ – This would be the

Combating Pornography church web site

The other day I was skimming through the “Let Virtue Garnish Thy Thoughts” booklet. This is a booklet that is to help people who are struggling with pornography. There is a booklet for the member, and another booklet for the Bishop. I’ve flipped through it before, but didn’t notice an LDS.org sub-domain that is reference

Church magazine web sites (sub-domains, actually)

Although the Church does have a variety of separate domain names, but it seems like it tries to keep everything on the main LDS.org domain. Many of the separate domains redirect to a section of the LDS.org domain. The same is true for most of the sub-domains. For example, I recently found out that each

Recent Family Search training

As I mentioned before, I get emails that go to the Family History Consultants. An email I got a while ago had a link to an address that Elder L. Whitney Clayton gave to Family History Consultants in the Salt Lake, Jordan River, and Bountiful temple districts in late 2007. The email includes a link

“A Brand New Year” web site

In conjunction with a DVD that was released by the Church for the youth, there is a new accompanying web site. The site has videos from the DVD, songs, pictures, and more. This is all to help emphasize the new theme. The site can be reached at http://abrandnewyear.lds.org/ or http://abrandnewyear.com/ I have updated the Official
