Well, another General Conference has come and gone. There were no “Wow!” talks for me this year. This isn’t to say that they were boring or that they wouldn’t have affected anyone. There are definitely things that I will work harder on now. I’ve made my notes (obviously), and we’ll have lots to choose from [...]

179th Semiannual General Conference – Sunday Morning Session
October 4, 2009
It was so nice to sleep in this morning and then actually be able to help my wife with the kids. As we were driving to church today she said it was weird to be going together as a family. We also brought a YSA who lives with us (I saw her taking notes during [...]
179th Semiannual General Conference – Priesthood Session

179th Semiannual General Conference – Saturday Afternoon Session
October 3, 2009
I’m at home now. I can’t say enough about how great the Move Networks player is. I watched it through my laptop on my 26″ HD TV, and it was perfect. Very impressive. The only thing is that the stream seems to be a few minutes behind the live broadcast (even when you are showing [...]

The last 6 months have flown by, and General Conference is here again. I have to admit, I do enjoy that extra time in the morning! Usually I’m up at 5:30 so I can get ready and head to Church for the various administration meetings. Tomorrow I don’t have to leave the house until around [...]
Random 179th Annual General Conference notes
April 6, 2009
Now that General Conference is over, here are a few random thoughts/notes:
best line of the conference (in my opinion) was when President Monson said that “your future is as bright as your faith”. That really puts things back on us
Elder Andersen seemed very humble. I’ve read some grumblings on the Internet about how he’s another [...]

Elder Dallin H. Oaks ** might use this as a 4th Sunday lesson **
unselfish service
lose yourself in the service of the Lord
we serve in our [...]
179th Annual General Conference – Sunday Morning Session
April 5, 2009
I ended up going to the Church this morning sans family for the first session. Two of our three kids are sick, and so my wife stayed home with them. I left a little early as I had an interview before. I also had an interview afterward. It was nice being able to refer to [...]
