I think that conference Sunday are my two favourite Sundays in the year. I haven’t lived in an area where I go to Church in the afternoon, so for us to have the morning available is a real treat. We got up this morning, had toaster waffles, watched The Pirate Fairy (the latest Tinkerbell movie… it was excellent!) and then went for a walk. We’re all getting settled now to watch the session.

In between sessions, I went out with my father to a Chinese food buffet. Usually the women and children at home do something together. Since they were going to be spending money on food, my father suggested that we all go, so that’s what we did. There were 9 of us all together, and it was nice. 181st Semiannual General Conference – Sunday Morning General Session

The Sunday morning of Genetal Conference is awesome. I’m in the Eastern time zone, so conference doesn’t start until noon. We have all morning to relax. • How sad to see Elder Hales to look the way he did. I wonder what is wrong with him. I don’t mean to be disrespectful in speaking about him, but his face seemed kind of “puffy”, but spoke well. He had the same small oxygen tubes that came around the side of his nose that President Packer did. It appears to be a neat contraption that hooked up to his glasses.

180th Annual General Conference – Saturday Morning Session

Another  General Conference is here. Time sure does fly by. Somehow or other it has worked out that I’m working again today, so I watched this session at work. I will be able to get home before the afternoon session starts.

I have no idea what the messages will be. The economy is slowly improving, but I’m sure there will still be some messages about being wise with our finances. I’m sure there will be messages about reaching out to less-actives. Of course, since it’s Easter weekend, I’m sure we’ll hear some good messages about Christ. A missionary from my ward is serving at Temple Square and helped at a General Authority luncheon. She got to meet President Monson, and he told them what he would be speaking on Sunday morning. This missionary wouldn’t tell us what it was, but said it starts with the letter “R”. We’ll see tomorrow if she’s right 🙂

As it has before, the Move Networks plug-in is amazing. It couldn’t get it to work with IE8 or Firefox 3.6.x, but I downloaded a portable version of 3.5.x and it worked fine.
