183rd Annual General Conference – Sunday Morning General Session

183rd_annual_general_conference_screenshot

The two General Conference Sundays have to be the best Sundays of the year! We can sleep in a bit, spent time together as a family, go for a walk, and listen to the beautiful music of Music and the Spoken Word together. This morning was particularly great as the weather was beautiful. Spring is truly here!

We don’t usually hear or watch Music and the Spoken Word (unless it is before General Conference). Their performance of Praise to the Lord, the Almighty was fantastic. They also sang I Feel My Savior’s Love and my kids sang along. That was pretty nice to hear my kids singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir 🙂

We’re hoping for a great session of conference to top it all off.

In between sessions, I went out with my father to a Chinese food buffet. Usually the women and children at home do something together. Since they were going to be spending money on food, my father suggested that we all go, so that’s what we did. There were 9 of us all together, and it was nice. 182nd Annual General Conference – Sunday Morning General Session

The Sunday morning of General Conference is the best! I’m in the Eastern time zone, so General Conference starts at noon. We got up late, had a nice breakfast, and then relaxed for the rest of the morning. Nice!

The family is gathered together now, and we’ll watch the session together. The other sessions we ask the kids to watch the first half hour, but they watch the entire Sunday morning session with us.
