It was a lovely conference and I was glad to be able to participate in it. The things that have been on my mind haven’t been solved, but I have definitely heard some things that will alter how I think about those things.
As I watched President Monson come in before the last session, it brought tears to my eyes. I’m not predicting anything, but it seems that the amount of time we have left with him is limited. It’s sad. He has truly given his life to the Church, and yet he is still suffering the same things as everyone else as they get older. There is nothing any of us can do to help him other than to pray for him and to do what he asks. I’ll try to do that.

Well, here we are again… another General Conference. Once again I am at work for the first session, so I’ll watch it from there. Then I’ll be home for the rest of the sessions. This is the last General Conference before my oldest turns 12. My father and I are going to watch the priesthood session from home again, but in October we’ll go to the Church with my son and then go out with him later.
I’m interested to see what the membership number is. With all these missionaries, have the baptisms gone up? If not, does that mean anything? We are certainly strengthening the missionaries serving, but if we haven’t increased baptisms, does that mean that there is a problem?
A friend of mine has a friend who lives in Utah, who said there will be a big announcement this conference, but we’ll wait and see. The only thing I’ve heard is about the policy regarding getting married and sealed in the temple (we do that here in North America). Apparently there is talk in standardizing on a policy for the world. Again, we’ll wait and see…
I’ve been looking forward to conference more this spring than at other times. I’m looking forward to feeling the Spirit.
Enjoy the conference!

Life has gotten in the way of my blogging over the last month and a half, but I’m definitely going to get some postings up this weekend about General Conference. It seems that most times I’m at work for one of the sessions, but this weekend I’m off, so I’m going to watch all conference sessions at home. This will also include the Priesthood Session. My father and I talked about it, and we think we’ll watch this one and April’s conference at home, and then when my son is 12 for next October’s conference, we’ll go to the Church so he has that tradition of going out with us.
I have no insight whatsoever into what will be shared this weekend, but I assume that much of the same themes we’ve heard in other meetings this year will be continued. The Work of Salvation, along with strengthening families will be hot topics for sure.
Enjoy the conference!
